    The average millennial doesn't make enough money to make much of a difference in tax revenue. If they were making money they wouldn't be living in Mommies basement![:D]

    The easy way to cure the SS shortfall problem is a mass die off of every one over 60. Then raise the age to collect SS to 75. Than wait 10 years and we would realize that the politicians would have re-screwed SS and it would be back to SS being broke again.

    because most I have seen, don't want to work, or work just long enough to get unemployment

    At 34, I'm technically a millennial, and I work with many other younger engineers.

    I've worked as much as I could as at 15year old (Gave up hopes of playing Div II baseball for a paycheck) and 30-35+hrs a week from 16-> College, then 50-60+/week since.

    They're extremely talented and several are very motivated, hard workers. I'm an EE, they are ChemE. We work for an International Food and Bev manufacturer. There are several "old boys" who are 8-5ers, 40-45hr a week, regardless.

    I have two comments:
    1. There is hope!
    2. Please don't lump us all together, many of us don't want to be grouped with "them".

    also as we get to 2020 there should be a 5year reduction in the filing for SS as congress raised the retirement age 5 years for those born in 1960 and later. They can still go at 62 but at a much reduced rate compared to those born prior to 1960. 67 and a half will be the new 62 for those folks while this won't cure the problem it will reduce benifits for most retirees

    up to 2014 congress has "borrowed" $2.8 TRILLION dollars from social security and left WORTHLESS IOU's..those that did this should be held accountable......NOT REWARDED
