They did remake "V" but not "Alien Nation" I didn't get that.

The cinematic movie ( some of James Caan's best work) pre dated the TV show. They made 5 made for TV movies to coincide with the series.

The movie was okay. I like the tv show better. Got a thing for Sikes' alien neighbor [:p]. I wonder if I'd like her without the make up? I know I don't like the English chick on Jamie Murray "Defiance" but as the alien I do. Another show I need to pick up.
5 made for tv movies, huh? I'll have to read the box set. Including the "pilot"? Some people consider the pilot as the movie.
The comment "How long have you been a communist?" made me think how cool would it be to have "Red Dawn" as a tv show? Kind a like "The Walking Dead" but less formulaic.0 -
So today I got the box set of the TV movies "Alien Nation Ultimate Movie Collection". Years ago I remember seeing it at Walmart but I thought it was a repackage of the movie so I didn't bother looking. "Twin Peaks" got me twice so I didn't look (once with the CBS two package and a month later "the gold edition") I think there's another one (I remember seeing half corpsified Laura Palmer cover). Anyways I was looking on youtube and came across the director had a gathering at his home. There I started to look and learnt DVDs were available of the tv movies. I remember seeing a few movies on hulu when it was free years ago. So I did some searching and the sticker shock of what some folks were asking and one popped up with a buy it now of $40. And now it's here.
Made Pho' stock yesterday so it's time to get my "Slag" on.
You would think in Trump age they would've brought the show back (hollywood being a den of dems). Oh wait FOX owns Alien Nation. They really should've made the show in obama era.
"Red Dawn" as tv show would be good. It'll have aspects of those WWII "I didn't see nothing" show (I forget the name of that tv show) pow camp, Wolverine raids and other guerillas in different state outings.

How long have you been a communist?Hardly a commie. The tv show was straight up garbage. The guy who played Sykes didn’t even use the .454 Casull. Just like I’m not a fan of the Lethal Weapon tv show. They’re barely a resemblance of the film and not well written.

So "s-l-a-g" gets censored now? Anyways I watched all 5 and I had seen 3 of them before. What puzzles me is why FOX had them make them when they canceled them. I'll go watch it with the director commentary today and maybe dude will clue me in?
