Shipping Hard case
Whats the best way to go for airlines? Who has cheap and strong? For Rifle or Shotgun, Ive got a lot of handgun cases.

ICC Aluminum and Pelican runs about the same. Remember Aluminum dents and Pelican cracks?
I'd spend the cash for "good" and strong than "cheap" and strong.0 -

The best cases made to withstand shipping through airlines and baggage handlers usually cost more than cheap ones by a substantial amount.
The least expensive case I have used is:

At about $110.00, it's a good value for intermittent shipping. The cases I used for shipping competition rifles and shotguns cost significantly more as do the rifles and shotguns. You don't put expensive rifles in cheap cases for shipping. I have yet to have to make any damage claims when I use the best cases. The airlines tried once but the rifle was not even scratched and the airline replaced the case.

Would have to agree. Also to determine what you need go to the airport and watch how baggage is handled.0 -
Also, if you rent a vehicle upon arrival make sure to reserve one the case will fit. Ask me how I know.[:I] 0 -

Yup, all excellent advice above.
I do understand not wanting to use a $300.00 case to trnsport a $100.00 rifle, but they are reusable!
It reminds me though of the $2,000.00 gun safe to protect $6-800.00 worth of guns......[;)][:D]0 -

It's your gun and not something you sold, correct? Also with airlines the way they are have you thought about driving to [:D]?0
