My wife almost got lucky

I went out this morning on the back deck and didn't realize it was covered with a very thin layer of Ice. Well I slipped and was heading toward 15 steps down to a concrete landing.......

My cat like reflexes kicked in and I just and I mean just managed to catch a rail and stop myself from getting busted up good.

I can see me with a broken back in 30 degree weather for 8 hrs.

She would have won the lottery especially since I just paid up my Life Ins Policy[;)]

    Glad you came out ok and I feel down our basement stairs and like you I twisted my body and hit the wall before I went down the stairs head first[B)][:0]

    Sounds like a close one.

    A couple of years ago a customer of mine died after his new puppy got under foot while he was walking down the stairs of his deck. He fell and broke his neck. His wife found him at the bottom of the stairs dead.

    It really was a close call, falling down 15 steps onto concrete would not have been fun at 59 heck it would not have been fun at 19[B)]
