Got the call

A call stating there's a check with my name on it at the local where I put couple of girls up behind glass "Amsterdam style". Don't know if the Hi Standard ($1600) or the Kahr ($600) that got sold. Hi Standard would get me real close to get my White Feather home by my birthday next month. Now if both sold that would be bitchin'.

I'll find out tomorrow morning while I'll have couple of bagels while the shop opens. Open, open, open (Mervyn's style) you remember the commercial [:D].

I took in the guns in August?

    Well it is that time of year again for fires. I just got the call that my team is headed out. We are headed to the Canyon fire by Quincy, CA. I will not be on much till sometime this fall. I will check in when I can.

    Seems the High Standard sold. $1600 bucks closer to bringing the WhteFeather home. I might be able to take her home by my birthday in February [:D]. If I don't spend money at the gun show next week then for sure.

    Good for you Yosh! Try to resist spending at the gun show, you can feel virtuous if you don't buy anything an you can reward yourself with another bagel. Smoked salmon and cream cheese go well on those.

    The check that was waiting for me was already spent. I just signed it over towards my WhiteFeather at that shop. That $1600 just helped cut out some payments.

    As for spending cash at the gun show I kind a have to since I'll have to do a back ground check to buy ammo in July. So I'm getting what I can. Looking to get Black Hills .168gr/.173gr and some that are heavier than 150gr. but not "Match" surplus.

    Before I head out I should do a ammo count on what I got. Won't be needing any .22LR since my pistol is now gone. Unless I find a pre-clinton lock S&W 617 in a 6+" barrel. Or a odd barrel I can re-barrel to 6+" and get non fluted cylinder at the Performance Center. This I'll have no issues scoping.

    I think I'm low on .38SP/.357Mag and for sure I'm low on 12Ga. Need to see how low.
