Woo Hoo...success...

Loaded up the bike and went for a 20 shakedown cruise. Straps stayed tight, bike din't shift at all, and the rig towed fine and handled nicely. Got it up to 70 on the highway and everything rode really well.

My 3,000 pound truck really feels the extra 1,000 pounds being dragged along. Especially since it only has 175 horsepower. Fuel mileage will go to hell.

Trailer is glossy black so it matches the MC perfectly.

    Nice looking rig Doc.

    Get a spare tire for it and I like to carry a bottle jack and a jack stand with my trainer so if I have to change a tire its not a big deal.

    Go to a surplus store and get a 40mm Grenade can for a MK 19. Then you can bolt it to the trailer and put some stuff in it if need be.

    Also I would block the tire front and back, you may have but I cannot see it in the pics.

    Spare is on order. Jack is a good idea. Wheel is chained to leaf spring so it can't roll and works with padlock on hitch to deter theft.

    I think you will be happy you went with the larger wheeled trailer. The pull a lot better. You might try to find some sort of rock guard to protect the front of your bike.

    Better get some mud flaps or some kind of shield put on the front of your trailer. If you don't you'll be flingin' little bits of rock and junk back at your bike.

    I'd cut a big rubber stall mat and secure to that expanded metal deck too.

    Doc, you're going to find that expanded metal ramp kills your gas mileage more that the trailer itself. If it'll fit pull it off and load it in the back of the truck. That or weld up something to secure it in/to on the outside of the trailer side rack.
