Police investigating the assault narrowed in on a nearby apartment on the 3300 block of Kinsrow Avenue where authorities believe the assault initially occurred.
During the investigation, police discovered the victim was allegedly struck with multiple blunt objects and shot with a pellet gun. Additional details, including the circumstances of the incident, were not available.
Second-degree assault is a Measure 11 crime that carries a mandatory minimum sentence of nearly six years.
