    What was he trying to accomplish?

    I see people acting like idiots at National Parks more and more. Like the guy messing with the Buffalo.

    I agree too bad he didn't either fall in or when old faithful erupted he would have been parboiled like a lobster.

    Sam,
    Yesterday, Sunday the 16th, we had our end of the year family picnic in the Park.
    Our eldest son lives in Powell Wyoming, so picnic spots in proximity of Fishing bridge makes it a halfway point. We picnicked just north of lake junction in the trees to get out of the wind. Unbelievable amount of people in the Park for this time of year.
    We had multiple people stop to see what we were doing, I guess they saw three pickups and figured we we watching something, then when they saw we were cooking, eating, etc and drive on.
    We walked down the the Yellowstone river and let the kids play in the river and we were visible from the road and several people pulled off and walked over the bank to see what we were doing. Like being under a microscope.
    When we accessed the Park from West Yellowstone, due to one Buffalo jam and one Bear jam, it took us two hours and seven minutes to travel 40 miles. Usually we can travel from West gate to the East gate in this time frame.
    We saw people (Asians) standing on top of their cars ( likely rentals) photographing Buffalo at spitting distance and people doing some very dumb photography work on a small Bull Elk that had eight head of cows with him.
    Did you see the video of the fellow getting thumped by the Bull Elk up at Mammoth hot springs last week?
    These folks think YNP and GTNP is merely a large petting zoo and have no respect for the animals or the flora and fauna.
    I could write a novel on the stupid things I have seen done there over the past 5 decades.

    I have not been to YNP in years(Over 20) but I have noticed that people act like trash.

    I hate to say that but they are. Most are ignorant, rude and they look like trash.

    For these reasons I don't really travel too much where I know I am going to be around a lot of people.

    What is sad is these people harassing wildlife are the same ones who condemn hunters.

    You live in a beautiful place and are lucky to be close enough to go there whenever you want too. Its unfortunate you have to deal with the trash those places draw.

    Trash people are everywhere.... The only way to avoid them is to never leave your home.
