I will offer up best wishes or prayers for the benefit of others...
But I no longer talk to god or pray for myself or my benefit.
My personal experience lately has been that god's garden is full of weeds - and being witness to death and suffering on a daily basis has somewhat colored my viewpoint.

I don?t know if my frustrated language is considered praying or not but I mention God and Jesus several times a day, usually asking ?what the...........???
I did actually pray earlier today, ?Lord please send just one legal bull across that fence and I?ll take it from there? Then I added this, ?OK Lord, this isn?t funny having them sit right there in front of me where I can?t shoot? Then finaled with a short one to his son, ?Jesus Christ are they gonna sit there all damned day????0 -

Mike, I'm sorry to hear you feel that way. The Bible tells us that life on Earth will not be the garden of just roses, and depending on how we live our lives here we can obtain that perfect Garden of Eden in our afterlife. In fact it's says that we are put here so that we can prove to god and ourselves that we are worthy. And the way to find out that is through how we handle and keep our faith through Temptations and lifes adversities
Of course this is just my opinion, but that's what it tells us in the Bible also. I'm not telling you how to believe, I'm just telling you what the Bible says for you to figure out how you want to believe0 -
Yes I do, but I never pray for God's help unless it's for somebody else. I pray to him to give thanks to him for giving me the ability to help myself and for all his blessings he has bestowed upon me 0 -

I try to every day but it seems that more prayer time is spent in times of trouble for family, friends, and self.
Talk to God and Jesus all of the time, in more of a normal (one sided) conversation. Always when I'm alone, but on occassion get overheard or seen talking to myself from a distance.[:I]

I'm going to tell you something you might, or might not believe. It is your choice, but it happened to me. When Donna and I went for the sentencing, of the man that kidnapped and sexually assaulted our son, I sat outside the courtroom, filled with anger and revenge on my mind. I asked myself, how can I kill this MF'er when we get inside. As I sat there dwelling over it, a voice came to me. It said, Forgive your enemy and I will heal your family and bring you a beautiful life. I gave you the son you were told you would never have by doctors, and here he sits before you. Continue with this hate and revenge in your heart and I will destroy you. I looked around like, where did that come from. I could feel the weight being lifted off my shoulders. I walked into the sentencing, and watched as one family member after another, spewed their hatred towards the defendant. When it was my turn, I stood up and forgave the man. I told his that I would not let him destroy or control my life, and that I forgave him, for what he did to my son and our family. When we left the courtroom, from that time on, our lives got better and our son and family healed. I became a better man, person and father that day.

Works for me. I will ask Jesus to give you an elk. He has done this for me on more than one occasion. This year the biggest antelope I have ever harvested. (body wise) Hunt lasted 10 min. Distance 25 yds. Cold windy and I was not felling to well. I thank Jesus for this gift.
