Interesting 20 gauge Buckshot loads

Has anybody tried either of these loadings? I'm really intrigued by them. The 1st link is to a loading with 8 '00' Buck pellets and the 2nd loading is a .58 caliber lead ball/8 #4 Buck pellets.

  I handloaded a bunch of defense loads a while back. Primer, powder, shot cup, 50 cal (.490") round ball, top off with #6 shot. Using a modified choke at 15 yards they made a nice 12-15" pattern with a 1/2" hole in the middle. That pure lead ML ball at 1100+ FPS should take care of business. I keep 5 of them in my behind the door Rem. 870.
