    I figured something like that was going on. Its hard to imagine that the Gen 1s are "all the rage" now.....but I guess it's true.

    I have seen the same identical gun sell here for vastly different amounts of money for no identifiable reason

    Seen models sell for well over identical pieces buy now prices

    Scratching my head...

    I have seen glocks with the smiley face slide serrations / culottes sell for ridiculous money - the target sights don't justify it.

    Gen 1s and Gen 2s are getting harder to find in relatively unmolested condition. I wouldn't spend that much but I'd got into the $500s for one. Apparently these two at the end really wanted it. Up in states like Massachusetts a pre-ban gun with NFML mags will go for a premium.

    Hmmm, I have a Gen1 G17, original box, only about 100 rounds thru it, several mags, etc. just taking up space in the safe...may have to give this one some thought.

    Sometimes there is an identifiable reason like Sig 220 states, sometimes it is an impenetrable mystery defying explanation. In that case, Montanajoe has a very good guess indeed.
