The chase scene: The mustang and charger had the worst suspensions, the charger nearly scraped the ground on the turns.
Those stunt drivers could really drive, I wonder how many they wrecked.
I love the old movies, didn't need special effects - Steve McQueen was all they needed

Steve did most of his own stunt driving in that movie.
Next time you watch it, try counting the number of times the chase passes the same green VW bug on the streets of SF.
I always said that the fastest car in that chase was the VW. It had to be faster in order to jump ahead of the Charger & Mustang so it could get in all those scenes...[^]
