You are half right. Some doctors might push medicine for depression. I can only judge from my experience. I asked for the drugs while i was going through my cancer treatments.
The first drug they gave me did not work. Like someone else mentioned i had a bad time on that medicine.
My doctor gave me a different drug and it helped me a lot.
My wife will tell me every 2 years or so to have my doctor to adjust my meds. She notices changes faster than i do.
My post about depression was to just bring depression into the light.
So many people are ashamed to need help so they will not get any.
