Axe-throwing lounges are popping up all over the country, but "Oregon Axe? is the first one in the Eugene and Springfield area.
But, how well does axe-throwing and alcohol really mix?
"Safety is our number one concern anytime you?re throwing a sharp object," said Oregon Axe Owner, Timothy Stemmerman.
Stemmerman said beer and wine is served, but there's a two-drink limit during your axe-throwing session.
He said after you are done playing, you may consume more alcohol if you choose.
Anyone who is intoxicated will be axed from the game, according to Stemmerman.
"Having a drink and throwing axes is a great time," he said. "Getting drunk and throwing axes is a bad idea."
The lounge has fully caged lanes and "axe-perts" that give you safety tips and tricks before and during the games.
Some of their other safety tips include not throwing the axe too hard and using common sense when in or around the axe lanes.
Their biggest advice?
"Don't over think it and don't be afraid to throw an axe," said "axe-pert," Codie Jantze.
"The louder you are, the more fun it is. So, when you get here just start screaming. It's awesome," said Manager and "Axe-pert," CJ Rayson.
Stemmerman said it costs $25 per person to play several different games.
"Axe-perts" said you don't need experience to play. They said you can walk in, learn and still have fun.
Oregon Axe is open Wednesday through Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
