THE South African government has begun the process of seizing land from white farmers.
Local newspaper City Press reports two game farms in the northern province of Limpopo are the first to be targeted for unilateral seizure after negotiations with the owners to purchase the properties stalled.
While the government says it intends to pay, owners Akkerland Boerdery wanted 200 million rand ($18.7 million) for the land ? they?re being offered just 20 million rand ($1.87 million).
?Notice is hereby given that a terrain inspection will be held on the farms on April 5, 2018 at 10am in order to conduct an audit of the assets and a handover of the farm?s keys to the state,? a letter sent to the owners earlier this year said.
Akkerland Boerdery obtained an urgent injunction to prevent eviction until a court had ruled on the issue, but the Department of Rural Development and Land Affairs is opposing the application.
?What makes the Akkerland case unique is that they apparently were not given the opportunity to first dispute the claim in court, as the law requires,? AgriSA union spokeswoman Annelize Crosby told the paper.
It is a shame................I was too young to go to Rhodesia and now I am too old to go to SA[V]
I hope the Farmers fight it out but I doubt they will win. The world will be against them like in Rhodesia even though they are in the right.

Yep. RSA was a First World nation under Botha. They had nukes, a manufacturing base second to none thanks to the UN embargo, and could feed every other country in Afrika.
Afrika flourished under the colonial system. It will have to return but something like ebola will have to sterilize the country first.0 -

Not really.
The are was inhabited by Bushmen(Who are almost all gone). Then the Whites came. The Zulu/Shona came later looking for land because they got tossed out of their home by a more powerful tribe.
Then in later times they came looking for jobs and a better life from the chithole place they were born.
Even under apartheid they were better off then back home in chithole land.
Here is what will happen and has happened in the former Rhodesia:
The bl*cks will have land reform. In other words everyone gets , lets say 20ac to farm.
They start farming their 20ac and have a little left over to sell and all in well.
They have kids, they grown and marry, so the farm gets split. Now 2 family's have 10ac each. The produce enough to live on a little less extra to sell, but they are doing OK.
Now they have more kids and the 20ac farm now has 4 families each with 5ac and they are sustenance farming.
More kids.............Now they are starving on 1/2 ac plots and its all whityes fault[V]0 -
S. Africa has the makings of another highly successful Black ran nation on the African Continent. A continent replete with peaceful self-sustaining productive Black ran nations. 0 -
