$82 to $120

My car registration took a friggen' jump [:0][:0][:0]!!! It's been $82 for the past 4 years that I kept record of and now $120. With this hike the state better relax on the emissions. Then again I'm in California so I doubt it.

    My renewal on my pickup is $3.75/yr in Arkansas. Veteran perk. Wife's car is $23.50, couldn't talk her into enlisting! [:D]

    I thought that was property tax? Come to think of it I wonder if the sales tax in my woods went up? Sales tax on DVD yesterday seemed off. I'm gonna go take a looksy.

    *Looks like they did raise half a cent in July 1.

    The peoples democratic republic of washington wanted $126.00 to renew the tags on my 1993 28 ft motorhome for 1 year. I transfered title and paid all fees and taxes including title transfer for 5 years for $81.00 in Arizona. I will never do business with the SOW again. Thank the good lord I am out of and free from that state. I love Arizona.

    The state of Michigan charges me 205 dollars a year for the license plate sticker and registration for my 31' motor home.

    I only use the beast for a few short months in the summer and fall and learned from a very helpful Secretary of State counter person how to save some $$$.

    He told me that if I only buy a temporary license plate (good for 3 months) it only costs 25 dollars!![:0]

    NJ raised MVC fees also.
    3 old HD's - only one plate and 1 ins card now. Savings? $330 a year
    They all look the same to millennial PO's.

    Stickers are 101.00 here in Illinois--democruts are talking about a $300.00 HIKE to FUND state pension fund and Chicago crime..stopping measures..

    Here in Utah, the temporary stickers are only good for two weeks

    yep, I can't say that I can really feel sorry for anybody that chooses to stay in California. My dearly departed wife wanted to live close to the ocean, so we moved to California in 1985. 6 months later we hightailed it back to Utah. Couldn't stand the liberalism there. And that was 33 years ago, I could just imagine how bad it is now

    My thoughts are if you stay in California, you get what you deserve. Sorry for being so brash, but nobody is forcing you to stay there

    She passed without having to get Motor Vac [:D]. Aces. Dude did say there was unburnt gas 60 parts or something like that with allowance of 100. Still getting 18 MPG so it can't be all that bad.

    I'd celebrate but I need to sock all the cash towards the M25.

    *Almost forgot the smog test went up to $80 and $8.25 for the certificate. Damn this state.

    I saw the same thing when CA mistakenly mailed me a renewal notice for my motorcycle. I told the DMV (again) that bike is here in Florida.

    The bike was registered in May for $27.60 while my one year old Nissan Rouge cost $77 to renew in July. There are no smog checks here, but the traffic in the Greater Orlando area is awful; far worse than what I experienced in Orange County, CA, which has about 1 million more people. There are also more toll roads (including toll streets) here than anywhere I've ever seen. Car insurance costs are about equal to CA, but insuring the motorcycle is MUCH cheaper, less than half of what I was paying in CA.

    The wifes pickup is around $400 per year
    My two pickups are permanant, around $150 one time never expires.

    My 90CC ATV costs NOTHING per year, or maybe it does but nobody has stopped me. Liability insurance is $125, kind of expensive, that is until you're in a wreck. It's no longer legal to drive outside the city limits,, and I have a vague idea where that is.

    Think dirt roads are the same as "in town"?
