parting out a gun ???

I have been cleaning out gun safes,,stuff I never ever shoot or have way too many of and I need the room..I sold 4 Mosin Nagants today to one fellow and cant even tell they are gone..Anyway..I found a daisy 2202, I remember getting stuck with it and just put it way.. was looking to see what it would be worth and quickly figured out parting it out would be worth about 4x what the whole rifle is worth,,is it much bad juju to part out a working gun ??

  I sold mine here about 30 days ago for 130, about the price of the magazine - Was missing rear sight though. Those two parts are the most sought after- imo sell it whole -
