American Rifleman Ruger Precision Magnum
.300 Winchester or .338 Lapua. Article says they weigh around 20# with scope and bipod. Not a bad review.

I have never thought of Ruger's rifles as being all that accurate. Maybe times have changed but in the past finding one that would shoot with a good Remington or Savage was rare.Glad you guys like yours. Maybe Ruger got their act together. Some of the old 77's were really good looking rifles. I hunted with one in 7mm a long time ago and it was a good rifle but never a "tack driver". 0 -
Ricci I agree with the older guns, I think it has a lot to do with the way the action is bolted into the stock, that goofy angled action screw in the front.
The chassis design gets rid of that.
Add to that Ruger is using hammer forged 5R rifled barrels in these guns.0 -

Haven't shot a Ruger but in a Remington 700 they sure shoot good...0 -
2nd on the 6.5 creedmoore,,I can ring steel all day at 600 yrds and with my old eyes that is a treat 0
