Ruger 10/22 threaded barrel adapter

Anyone ever hear of these? I told my wife she could get me a threaded barrel for my Ruger for Christmas and she stumbled on these.

My only concern would be if it were true to the core of the rifle and not hit whatever you put out on it. The only videos I found so far say it is good and lines up just fine.

    Tighten those set screws against your barrel is gonna leave some bad ugly marks.


    Yeah,I too would think you really have to watch it for alignment to bore.

    seems a bit aquward but the reviews what I would go by also cost .
    besides scuff up a stock 10-22 plan Jane barrel countless replacements most new on the auctions go cheap evan a lot of threaded barrels up for grabs
    your present your choice [:D]

    Brass (set screws in this case) is much softer than rust bluing/steel.

    You can buy them cheaper, they cost about.$20
    I will enclose a link to a cheaper one. The only thing is, is that it only has one set screw. But I don't think that would matter. I don't think a 22 long rifle would have enough vibrations to make a different

    They are ugly I have seen them, and I would be afraid that it would ruin your Barrel buy putting divots in it. BUT there are a lot of people that buy Ruger 10/22 and strip them down just to get the receiver for a custom build (I did it myself). They will sell all the parts (I didn't), and I have seen new barrels for about $25 on fleabay and on the auction site here. So you can replace your Barrel if you ever wanted to have one barrel dedicated with the adapter and one without. So for about $45 you could have the adapter Plus another new Barrel to save your Barrel from getting divots in it

    Also make sure you use some loctite or similar product on the set screws. Even though a 22 long rifle won't create a lot of vibrations, overtime at will

    WHY?? Threaded barrels are so common as to be "the norm".

    The concentricity of the adapters is questionable but "good enough" for use with a flash hider/muzzle brake sort of thing. Using a suppressor with tight baffles might cause strikes.
    FWIW: you can have your 10-22 barrel threaded(and even retain the front sight) for less than $100.

    Yeah I'm thinking I'm just going to go with a new barrel. I've had the barrel off my rifle before so I know it's not very difficult.
