Plutonium missing in Texas ?

The deadliest substance know to man and the government sweeps it under the rug? Maybe you couldn't make a bomb but you sure could contaminate a water source.

The Energy Department, which declined comment for this story, doesn't talk about instances of lost and stolen nuclear material produced for the military. It also has been less willing than the commission to punish its contractors when they lose track of such material, several incidents suggest.

That nontransparent approach doesn't match the government's rhetoric.

Protecting bomb-usable materials, like the plutonium that went missing in San Antonio, "is an overriding national priority," President Obama's press office said in a fact sheet distributed during the fourth and final Nuclear Security Summit that he hosted in late March 2016, a Washington event attended by more than 50 heads of state.

    No biggie. There are other things more likely to kill you, like illegal aliens with more than one deportation in their records.

    If you think this is news- after the EPA/ FBI raided the nuke weapons plant at Rocky Flats CO and shut it down- during the cleanup, they recovered 92 POUNDS of plutonium from the air ducts in one building.

    Please cite the source for this information. That is a huge amount of material.

    I always thought a good Spec ops mission would be to replace the "Rock" in the Kaaba at Mecca with a nice chunk of Plutonium.

    All those muslims walking around and touching it...............what a great way to thin the heard.

    Guns-n-Paint, here is ONE of the events relating to 60+ lbs. One glove box was found to have about 6 pounds in its filters (potential criticality incident) There were also instances of improper disposal of U-238 on site. Rocky Flats was reported to be holding about 13 tons of Special Nuclear Materials at one point.

    They found it in South Carolina but couldn't retrieve it, it punched a very deep hole in the marshy terrain.......all this from a older friend that was directly involved. He said it wasn't armed and was no danger so the Gov. decided to leave it be [:0].

    ..Yep, just like all the nuclear waste encased in stainless steel,
    thousands of tons of concrete and buried deep, deep in the earth will
    never, ever be a threat...really!..never!!
