    The Dems thought they'd win in 2016 and stay in power for another 8 years +. The Supreme court would have been left/far left for generations.

    A Dem win in 2016 would have finished the U.S. as WE know it. That's one reason why I'd moved overseas, the U.S. would never come back to that pre 1964 War on poverty Johnson boondoggle that started the downward decline of the American dream.

    Should have at least 10 years to straighten things out.

    I think that Clarence Thomas would have moved toward the center if they had not put him through what they did & have continued to do. It is also likely that Kavanaugh will never forget or forgive what they put him & his family through. He now has the rest of his life to pay them back. Revenge is a dish best served cold.
