    We have about 3/8" of ice so far today. Now it's snowing, doubt if we get too much of that. Glad I don't have to go anywhere today. My trees are looking pretty sad though. [:(]

    Here in south Jersey north and east of Philly at the confluence Delaware river and racoacas creek we are experiencing heavy snow and it has blanketed everything - maybe 2 inches so far

    The animals (minus the hedgehog and turtle and cat) are romping in the back yard

    UPDATE: We totaled out at 1.5" of very, very heavy wet snow with some sleet on top.

    About 3" here on a very cold but pretty blue sky day with sunshine and 30 degrees. A good first day of firearms deer season in Michigan except the wind was blowing my scent right into my shooting lane!

    None, but on the other side of the mountains to the border with Texas between 3 and 6". Amarillo got 7 and there was snow all the way from Tulsa west. High winds blew the snow across the interstate where vehicle tires turned it to water and the cold turned it to ice. dry to wet roads with patches of ice meant trucks and cars in the median, on the shoulders on their sides, tangled with each other, jackknifed and facing the wrong direction. Left Tulsa at 5:30 and arrived in Amarillo at 4:30. Three of those 11 hours were sitting waiting for wrecks to be cleared and traffic to move again. In one case I hit the exit, put it in 4 wheel and drove the frontage road past the wreck and back onto the freeway. Monday was a long nerve wracking day.

    Update

    We have over 3 inches and it has stuck / accumulated

    They are calling for an inch of rain overnight

    I imagine the morning wake up and commute period will be a nightmare

    20 mph winds off and on

    Played a pleasant round of golf today. Started off at 37? and ended at 50?. No precip on the radar for a week or so. We are seeing a slight haze of smoke from the Califlagaration, though. Hope that doesn't get bad like it did before.

    ...between 4-6? 30 miles north of Balto, west of I-95. Turning to slush now with steady rain (upper 30*s overnight). Taking a chance and not running the plow truck to move this mess. Seems like a waste of good diesel if it?s likely gonna wash away before morning.

    It has rained like a cow peeing on a flat rock for the past 18 hours, we may get a bit of freezing snizzle tonight. I hope not. It has been a miserable day for sure.

    1/2-1" of snow, on top of a heavy coating of frozen ice. 22* last night. (Mountains of W. NC/extreme NE TN.)

    Had my snow tires put on my Nissan, on the way home yesterday evening.

    Have the Jeep (modified Wrangler) when it turns ugly.
