proud of grandkids.........
grandson is 11, granddaughter 8, went to cabin yesterday, and quite a few of cousins were there with their kids/grandkids, I had taken a couple 22's and the new honda to ride. turns out the gas line needed some work so me and my son went to help, wife stayed at cabin with everyone else. we were gone longer than figured, 3-4 hours as few trees down across the 4 wheeler path to get to the well.
by the time things were done got back to cabin most folks had left, it was about 5pm. granddaughter wanted to shoot and as there were still about 6-8 people and a few kid still there I told her to wait as there were just to many people to shoot. so I let her go for a ride in the side by side, and of course when we got back grandson had to go for a ride too before we went home.
guess my granddaughter talked my wife into letting her shoot while me and grandson were out on our ride. when we got back only one other couple were there, and wife, granddaughter and my son were shooting.
I told my grandson to get his earmuffs and go join in.
as I was sitting there on the porch my cousins wife came over to me
and said, I was suprised at your granddaughter, she got her rifle from the case and came over to your wife with the muzzle down, and told her grandma you allways point it towards the ground. that made it worth the whole day, it was worth all the sweat and heat to hear someone else say something good about your kids/grandkids. sorry for the long rant.......
