When bidding on penny auction, does the seller see my maximum bid?

    I was outbid by $ 0.25 once on a $ 4,500.00 item.

    Pissed me off as I wondered how someone could get around the minimum increment (I believe it was $ 25.00 on that auction, but could be mistaken). Finally realized that so long as the maximum bid is at least the increment above the current bid, the bid is accepted.

    Apparently the successful bidder and I had placed the value at within .00005% of each other.

    Thats funny, you went up 2 bid increments exactly from the current price and so did he...thirty seconds later. Maybe he gave up then or maybe he saw the current bid go to the amount he put in and thought it was him, he only has two feedbacks so it could be either one[:D]
