The video of the 30 year old Hispanic man taking the MAGA hat off a 16 year old kid's head and throwing a cold drink in his face? The man was arrested and charged with theft, not assault. He'll probably get a slap on the wrist for that, but if that was my kid, I'd try to make sure he got his "15 minutes of fame". [:(!]

    A 30-year-old man has been arrested after viral footage showed him taking a teen's "Make America Great Again" hat at a Whataburger.
    The video, which has been viewed more than 2 million times, shows a man throwing a drink and then walking away from the group at the table while holding a "Make America Great Again" hat.
    Kino Jimenez has been arrested and charged with theft of a person, the San Antonio Police Department confirmed to Business Insider. Jimenez was believed by many on social media to be the man in the video who took the MAGA hat, with people circulating his name and photo online.

    "Universal City police officers took the AP into custody without incident," the SAPD said in a statement. "He was transported to the Robbery Unit to be interviewed by detectives assigned to the case, before he was transported to the Bexar County Jail."
    The complaint claims that Jimenez approached the three teenagers eating at Whataburger, removing one of their hats without consent and "tossed a large glass of soda and ice" at his face. While police were not immediately alerted, the teenaged complainant and his guardian reported the assault on Wednesday evening.
    Jimenez's family members told Fox 29 that they do not condone the behavior in the video, but that some of the information that has spread on social media is false. Family members said they felt as if their safety was in question as rumors spread, with strangers approaching their house (where Jimenez no longer lives).
    A 16-year-old named Hunter Richard has been identified as the teen who had his hat stolen. On Thursday, an anonymous source told local news station KENS5 that the assault may have been sparked by the teenagers making racist remarks. KENS 5 later removed the quotes due to questions regarding their legitimacy.
