    Steyr 95/30 or 95/34 would be my guess with that stacking hook.

    French Lebel Model 1907/15, the ones with slings have a round ring on the barrel band, and the soldiers all have what look like M1886 Lebel Bayonets on their belts. That's the first I've seen German soldiers using Lebels.

    You are correct. Prison camps like factories could be armed with substitute or obsolete weapons thus freeing standard weapons for front line.

    P3, I knew they did that with the Steyr rifles, had never seen or thought about them using Lebels. Makes sense though, probably had a bunch to use. I recall Remington supplying a large Lebel contract to France?
