    they are amazing strong have seen trucks hanging over bridges just the king pin holing the tractor from going over .
    just looking at one you would not think they could take that kind of force

    A chicken feed driver told me one their drivers ripped off the fifth wheel.
    Somehow he got it in a bind around a corner and pulled the
    round greasy part loose from the pivot pins.

    It left the frame mounts on the frame.

    That king pin is some kinda stout.

    That section of road over the mountain is CLEARLY marked on both ends "No trucks over 30ft axle to kingpin" with plenty of room to turn around and take the truck route around it. I've driven that in my pickup, and still wouldn't drive that with a day cab and a pup trailer.
    $1000 per hour for a wrecker, that's if the wrecker can get the trailer out of there. If not, it's $8000+ an hour for the helicopter. It's expensive to be stupid.
