Fire season
Who else is living in smoke? Haven't had a breath of clean air since I don't know when. Most times we can't see the mountains on the other side of the valley or even the peaks on our side. Luckily no fires anywhere near here.

We have a fair number burning here although nothing like California.
Most of the smoke here seems to be coming out of Oregon though.0 -
Lucky for me the smoke has not headed my way either heading east or south.
But I can tell you this is ok by me last year was hell. Really had trouble breathing.0 -
We get smoke here every year. Usually it's just an annoyance for a few days at a time. This has been the worst I have ever seen it though and I'm starting to feel it. Tomorrow I think I'll get in the truck and try to get out of it for a while. The problem is it's so wide spread in every direction I don't know which way and how far I'll have to go. 0 -

Kali is where we are getting it from. Yosemite and Mammoth mostly I guess. I live in a tinderbox so my camp cookfires are propane. [:(]0 -

I'm about halfway between SF and Sac. Cars are covered in ash, sky is so thick with smoke, it looks like it's overcast. 0 -

We got a break today for a couple hours. The wind came up and we got to see the sky and the mountains, things were looking up and now the smoke is back. 0 -

What is selfish is the azzhats who started these fires, then having to watch your elderly mother gasp for air from all the smoke. Her respiratory therapist has had to double her oxygen.
The buzzard who started the Perry fire by Pyramid Lake in Northern Nevada thought it would be fun to play with roman candles out in the dry brush. Jail is too good for these fools.0 -
We have one going up by Hailey that was started by a fellow shooting at
exploding targets. I'm assuming their IQ matches the caliber they were using, in mm.0 -
I'm sorry for all of the loss from these fires. I know people in kalifornia whose homes were threatened. I'm just saying that it is hard to work and breath in the relentless haze. It gets so thick that you wouldn't know there are mountains all around you. It is nearly as bad indoors as out even with the windows closed.
I had a DR appointment last Wednesday two and a half hours away, we never got out of the smoke.
Last week we drove down through elevations just over four thousand feet and up to just over 7600 feet and were still in smoke.0 -
A week and a half ago we in the rogue river valley of southern Oregon got the distinction of having the worst air quality in the nation due to smoke and the smoke is thicker now!

I hope the fires stay away from you and the smoke clears. So far they are not close to us but the constant threat of wildfires is part of life here.0 -

This is why I'm for a Fireworks Ban. There are too many Idiots out there.
We had a wind change and are now getting smoke in this area. Nothing near as bad as the folks down south. Just every once in a while I can smell it, That is scary cause I start looking for a fire.
But mostly its just a haze in the air here.0 -

Dixon, blink and ya miss it.
The two fires near Clear Lake have merged into the biggest fire Calif has had. Just looking at a view from space and all the smoke from that fire and the Redding fire is funneled right here. It follows the I-80 all the way to Reno.0
