No good deed

I was gone sunday fishing and my wife had my Nephew over to power wash the walkways and the deck, you know to earn a few bucks.

I get home Sunday night everything looks great!

My wife says wait till you see what a good job he did.

I say show me.............so she takes me around and points out how great a job he did power washing and I have to admit he did a great job.



The she gets this big grin and says wait till you see this.....








She goes over and opens up my smoker, It looks like new[:0].......

She says I had him wash out this nasty old smoker of yours.[:0]


I just went over and gave her a big hug and told her I loved her.


Then I said if you ever touch my smoker again I am going to organize your craft room for you while you are out of town[:D]


I think I will smoke some ribs today and try to get it back in shape.

    Yup, yup. Smoke and caked on grease is there to protect the crappy sheet metal.

    When they ask why the eats tastes funny let them know "it's because y'alls cleaned the smoker".

    True it also adds flavor!

    But bless her heart all she saw was a nasty, ptomaine poison looking smoker and thought she would do me a solid and get it cleaned.

    I came home from work one morning and see the garden hose running from the garage sink into the house. I follow the hose up the stairs and into one of the spare bedrooms to find the now "ex wife" pressure washing the ceiling and walls.[:0]
    Every towel in the house was on the floor soaked, along with the carpet. Multiple coats of paint and a small miracle kept the sheet rock from getting wet and collapsing on her head.
    Count your blessings Sam, the last time I came home from a fishing trip, she was using my smoker. But it was only the bottom half, for a patio bonfire![:(!]
