Interesting plot against gun shows.

I was yapping with some folks at the gun show today and the dude that sells those Boar Socks was saying the most gunshows (like 90%) are on state owned or AG buildings. So newsom our newest "governor" could just deny future shows. So the one I went to at the Cow Palace could've been the last one.

Good thing I started on the ammo buying early.

    As I recall, same crap pulled by Cuomo at National Guard Armory in Newburgh, NY years ago. Takes place now at fairgrounds in Middletown.

    That's an old approach. Nearly 20 years ago Los Angeles county supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky got an ordinance passed prohibiting the sales of guns and ammo on county property. The huge Great Western Gun show was held at the LA county Fairgrounds in Pomona for years.

    The county had to pay out millions of dollars to promoters of the gun show, but the county didn't care. The show left and never returned.

    Where I live in Washington state I-594 effectively ended gun shows as we knew them.

    Actually they pulled one particular gun show organizer out of the Guard armories.....he failed to pay the rent...on several armories besides Newburgh..

    Everything old is new again. Why think when they can just re-boot it. We'll see if California has a gun show next year. All those folks who didn't stock up on ammo are going to wipe out store shelves like if they're buying milk and bread for a hurricane.

    THAT was a Gunshow! Probably 5 times the size of the Reno Show. 9 exhibition buildings filled, and outside between the buildings filled. Three days and you couldn't see it all.
    Just attended the Big Reno Show at the Convention Center, and it's a sad shadow of what it was. The Atlantis is connected to it by a skywalk. Saw Atlantis signs saying "Welcome Gunshow Attendees", and right next to it, and the same sign I saw in all the casinos, "No Firearms Allowed on Premises, Including CCW".
    No security in the Atlantis parking lot ($10 to park), and car break ins have tripled. Must be a coincidence.
    I heard the owner fired the manager of the Grand Sierra, the bean counters probably showed him the money lost from their new policy and the loss of the gun show.
    Miwall Ammo wasn't at the show either, and alot of angry people were leaving with empty hand trucks. I heard later the the show promoter, Lou Fascio and Miwall had a big blowout, and Miwall took their trucks to a show in AZ. Another nail in the coffin.[V]
