Harbor Freight
They are usually pretty good at having order takers that speak reasonable English.
However, the one tonight must have been a trainee. I had to repeat my CC number 4 times. She just could not seem to get the last 4 right. And I just could barely understand when she read the item numbers back to me.
But they were very fast with order confirmation. By the time I humg up from them and logged on, my order confirmation was in my email.
My main item was a 100 amp battery tester for 14.99. NOT BAD. Tom

Anyone shop there. I love that store. I get some great deals on tools even though they are not the greatest. I bought a welder and grinder there two years ago and never had a problem.I go there like once a week[:D] 0 -

I went with a Hitachi air framing nail gun yesterday it was $200.00 from local lumber company it worked great yesterday
now I don't have to borrow one from one of my carpenters
I am just a carpenter's helper

All of my air stuff is Porter Cable. My cordless drills/driver is Ridgid with the lifetime warranty on the tool and batts. 0 -
i figure harbor freight as an economic indicator...a $270 yukon mobile workbench is now $220....guess they will keep reducing prices to keep the boats packed full coming here.... 0 -

GOOD LUCK on that "lifetime warranty" with Ridgid! One of the guys who works for me just spent hours and hours and hours dealing with that to get his $99 "Lifetime Warranty" grinder replaced......he finally got it replaced after two months. Then his sawzall crapped out the next week!
Sure, they'll warranty it, but it is a *major* pain in the butt. [xx(]

i have two of them and they have worked for me for several years. no complaints at all. just for reference i have a dewalt framing nailer with very low use. it stopped working, cost me about 80% of a new one to repair. 0 -

I tried to buy a bead blast cabinet once. Local store had none in stock. Asked if they could order one in for me. Nope. They said another store had em in stock. Drove an hour and picked one up. Got back to my shop and unpacked it. Had a big hole cut in the side where someone tried to mount some sort of blower motor then returned it. Drove back and wanted a replacement and the manager blamed me for cutting the hole.0 -
Just got an ad from them that has the ammo boxes @ $2.99. (You need the coupon in the ad) I have several but another couple won't hurt. They could also be used as a lockable box to transport a pistol. Have to be sure to get another free flashlight or batteries as well. 0 -

Don't every buy Harbor Freight's flack black rubber bungee cords. They are absolute garbage and don't even last 2 months out in the weather. Made from some kind of reclaimed garbage rubber..... 0 -

The first time I ever ordered from HF, back in about 1984, I ordered some of those. What a great introduction to Harbor Freight Salvage Company, as was their name back then.0 -

went to HF last year to buy that yukon cabinet and other stuff..wrote em a check and they refused it ...first check refusal in 60 years of banking..asked for the manager and he was unavailable..so i used a credit card..zippity doo rite thru ...called the bank after loading in the parking lot...they said no problemo here..you still got a 6 figure account here....??????..used a CC last week to avoid any BS 0 -
I have purchased a few of their things over the years. As RugerNiner said "DIY selfer." is the key. Realize what you are buying folks. All my serious air & electric tools are Dewalt but the HF tools have their place. 0 -

Use a Ridged 18ga brad nailer. Doubt I'd even start a trim job using a hammer and nails.
Last week put in two "tongue and groove" pine ceilings. Nice looking job compared to nails and 10 times easier, hammering nails above your head "sucks".0 -

The $12.99 box is a .50 cal box. The $2.99 .30 cal box ad came in the mail as part of a catalog type mailing. The ads in the newspaper are still $3.99.0 -

Just picked up one of their Lynxx 40v pole saws yesterday. For what it is worth, it had good reviews. $169 w/battery and charger. Rarely do but I went ahead and bought 2 yr no questions asked warranty for $39 because it covered the battery also. We will see how it goes this weekend. 0 -
I wouldn't expect too much from a battery powered pole saw. I have one of their plug-in electric pole saws & it has lasted me quite a while & works as well as can be expected for such a short saw. I don't recall what it cost but it was MUCH less. 0 -
