Snohomish, WA
Any of you guys ever been to Snohomish, WA? We went there a couple of weeks ago during our visit with our son who lives in Everette, WA which is just north of Seattle. I've never seen the like of antique stores in one little town. It's a popular place that's for sure with a lot of traffic and finding a parking place is pretty hard to do on the weekend.
If I had room in the trunk of my car I would have bought an unrestored vintage Elgin outboard motor that I found in one of the stores for $75 bucks that was in really good condition. I'm always on the lookout for old outboard motors 25 hp and smaller. Most recently I've been searching for a 1957 or 1958 model Evinrude, 18 hp, Fastwin outboard motor.
We also found a really good little restaurant there called Cabbage Patch Restaurant. We went back 2 more times to the restaurant to eat during our stay.

Yes, it is a great place. I used to fly in and out of there back in the 70?s.
Fun little airport and we walked into town and went through all the antique shops.
Bought a few pieces that we still have. If they weren?t antiques then, they sure are now!

I also bought an Elgin in Woodinville which is close by. Kids live there. Brought it back to Wisc. 2000 miles and got it running last winter. Now I dont know what to do with it LOL. If you are still looking for one email me. They were made in Wis. I think, and were a great little moter. I take the grandson shooting at a range close to there also..Kennan I believe. Hard to understand where all those antiques come from out there. 0 -

Smitty, tell your son to stop in at J&L's the next time he's there and get the BBQ brisket sandwich, baked beans, and potato salad. I think they will mail the briskets out too...not sure though. Great stuff!0 -
