    Kind a waste of good ammo like FGMM/Black Hills on say SOCOM II while Ethiopian surplus for say a National Match.

    From my looking stay under 2800 FPS and under 185gr rounds.

    Its made to shoot standard M80 ball ammo or any NATO standard ammo. Match ammo is also a good bet in the accuracy area,

    I never found any military ammo that didn't work well in my M1A. They are accurate arms.

    Barrel length makes a difference...?? shorter barrels decrease velocity and the sight radius is reduced which can effect accuracy.

    I have a 16" Springfield socom and 3 full length M1A's and use LC 7.62 and Federal ammo in them, both work great.
