How many 1911 you got??

I think I?m down to just two. One Les Baer Prmier II and one old Colt series 70 Gov Model. I have owned six Wilson?s,three Les Baers,two Jim Clarks, two Colt Delta Elites,several Springfield?s and maybe a half dozen other Colts that I can remember. Oh and at least one Kimber, a Super Match. All were good guns.

    Looks like I have 7. Les Baer "Boss," Colt Gold Cup, Colt Delta Elite, Colt Lightweight Officer, ATI full-size, ATI Commander size, ATI Officer/Defender size.

    WW1 and WW2 from each manufacturer other than Singer, a WW1 Colt in 455 Webley built for Britain during the Great War, a Konsberg (Norwegian)labeled 11mm built in 1925 plus a number of modern makes.

    It is the iconic pistol of the 20th century, and I am just attracted to them as I come across different makes.

    Its a simply rugged Sourdough Pancake in Oxblood, never used.



    I have 7x 1911's and I have more in the past.

    2 Colt series 70 one a full size the other a commander both in 45 acp.

    1 Custom built on a old springfield frame by a Guy named Jimmy Wells. He was a really good gun smith till he got caught converting guns to Full auto for the KKK and the Ayran Brotherhood[:D] but he built me a really nice gun.

    1 Custom gun on a Caspian frame I had Clark build me.

    1 AMT Hardballer

    1 Colt 1911a1 from the 60's that I had worked on my Rich McCann in Spanaway.

    1 Detonics Combat master that used to be my carry piece. I guess it would count because its just a chopped and channeled 1911.

    Im thinking (with-out looking) bout 6 or so ? Including a 1914 made colt with a funky ceracoat finish ( some ass sprayed it with 'manafold' paint before I got it @ Booneville IN. gunshow - late 70s )? A really nice Remington Rand ( all org. 99% except wrong mag.?)? A Norinco & a few others ....

    A few,, I have a Wilson the Wife gave me on our 30th anniversary that I have never fired, A couple Springfield's, and even a Taurus but the oddest is a Griffon out of South Africa.. One of the most accurate 1911's I have ever fired

    Six, all Colt.

    3 govt, models. Series 80 in 38 sup, 80 series in 9mm, and a 70 series level I in .45.

    3 commanders. Two Wiley clapps, 1-9mm, and 1- stainless in .45
    And an old roll mark 80 series 1991 in .45.

    Always saving up for another. And there's my bucket list.

    Only had one in my entire life and I still have it; a Colt Combat Commander satin nickel .38 Super I bought new in 1975. Haven't shot it much this century but it has over 11,000 rounds through it. Mostly my reloads.
    I think I will get it out one of these days and touch off a few rounds.

    Many others have come and gone.

    I swapped my AMT Hardballer for my first PPC revolver back in the '80s

    Grew up shooting my dad's 1966 National Match rebuild Remington Rand, so I didn't really need one of my own. It was fun until he sold it. Took me years to track that down, but it's back in the gun box.

    I like ?em so much, at one time that was all I had!
    I?ve narrowed it down to a few. A Government, a Commander, and a Defender.
    Might have to add a Delta Elite one day.

    Three, all in .45 ACP.

    A 4", a 5" and a 6".45 Super.

    I love the look and feel of the single-stack 1911 grip...don't love the limited mag capacity.
