Bought a jug of bug spray that was on sale at the local hardware store to kill a few spiders and such. It was a jug with a little attached sprayer handle on it. I set it down on my work bench to go do another errand and the spray nozzle dripped a bit. It ate right thru the hammerite paint on some metal that it was on..[:0]

  Petroleum based solvents will kill most bugs(and dissolve paint).
