    start with toys and work there way to real guns [:(!]

    I have no doubt toy guns do look more real than ever , but banning them is going too far

    Much like any other state, we have a bunch of stupid people here in Iowa.

    For instance, some of them "tend to be teenagers or young adults seeking personal protection or street credibility" by carrying toy guns.

    That sounds pretty stupid to me.

    However, I don't believe that banning toy guns will eliminate stupid people.

    In fact, I am not sure what Sioux City's new ordinance actually does.

    Does it prohibit ". . . people from carrying some types of "toy" firearms."?

    or

    Does it " . . . ban(s) pellet and BB guns."?

    Does it only apply to "teenagers" and "young adults" - or does it also apply to children?

    Lots of words in the article and a cool photo, but not much information.

    Perhaps some carry toy guns because the government will not give them permission to carry real firearms. Yes either way it stupid.

    Can you still have toy firearms in the home for the kids to play with? Not that it's a matter of life and death but I'd like to read the ordinance.

    I think what it does more than anything is it's just a continuation(more propaganda)of the brainwashing of the populace that all firearms are evil including the toy ones.

    Sad no matter what way one slices it.

    This is stupid. If you carry a bb gun or air pistol as a defensive weapon and brandish it like a real firearm, you absolutely deserve to be shot and killed.
