KEYSER, W.Va. ? Gov. Jim Justice proclaimed Friday as Frosty the Snowman Day in honor of the "Frosty the Snowman" song being released on Dec. 14, 1950, and written by Keyser native Walter "Jack" Rollins.

    That's great. Never knew those songs were written by someone from Keyser. My Dad worked many years for a general contractor in Keyser and some of my greatest memories come from spending summer vacations from school going to work with Dad and the guys he worked with. Most days were spent fetching tools but my favorite was when they were building a cabin off Push Root Road and watching all the deer.
