Back in the 70s there was a family that rented one of my dad's houses which was just across a field from where I lived and the man was backing his car out of the driveway one afternoon and ran over his 3 year old son. It crushed his head under a rear tire. It tore the family up, they were beyond help. They were never the same and their marriage broke up and they moved away shortly afterwards.

When my dad was in his late 80s and developed supranuclear palsy (PSP) and the dementia was starting to get bad he ran over my mom at their garage one day as he was backing their car out. My dad had been a truck driver all his life, since 1947, and had awards for millions of miles of accident free driving but the PSP did him in and almost killed my mom.

It's amazing how they can climb. Our 2 year old grandson can climb out of his crib. The very hard landings have not deterred him. Tough and determined little sucker.

Family Story: My aunt and uncle had this old green 1973 Chevy Impala. When they lived in the country, my oldest cousin was about 3, climbed into it, took it out of gear, and it rolled down the hill, and through a fence and into the barn.

A few years later, they were living in town. At the immediate end of their driveway was the railroad trucks. Cousin #2 got in that same car, and rolled it down the driveway backwards, into the railroad tracks right of way. Not on the tracks, luckily.

A few years after that, his sister did the exact same thing!

We came to the conclusion that car was haunted. [:D] They were decent parents, and watched their kids pretty closely, but it still happened, three times!
