A long ,long time ago, before we knew what it would be worth,
me and 2 buddies ran a 70 {69 1/2} TA RAM AIR V on the
local dragstrips. That was the most
rare motor ever to come out from Pontiac.
The heads on that motor were built for one thing only...to
make horsepower!! The intakes ports were so big that the pushrods
went THRU the middle of the ports.
If we had that car in showroom condition, today,we would be
talking big 6 figures price.

30th 1999 Trans Am Convertible. Bought this car practically new. Original owner's nephew sold it, owner had terminal cancer. Original tires and wheels in storage. Hard to believe it is 20 yrs old and Pontiac hasn't made a Trans Am for 17 yrs. Car next to it is a Pontiac Solstice GXP 2.0 litre Turbocharged. 0 -

Pontiac Article. Mickey Thompson even made a hemi head for his Pontiac racing. Super Duty's ruled Nascar and the drag strips long ago..

One thing that wasn't mentioned in the Pontiac link was their '57 F.I. engine and I had one. I still have my '69 Firebird conv't with about 60K original miles. Wish it was a T/A as there were only 12 made. 0 -

good looking home project has to fun to drive I am sur it would not attract attention and talking the LEO out of a ticket for anything would be easy ( not ) sleeper are more fun
as a poor kid growing up our landlords sister rolled in one day in a new 69 trans am white blue stripes even being 12 years old I knew it would be special it sure was to me any way
I would love to have it now the car not the landloard sister ( but she was hot back then [:(]0 -

8 original TA Convertibles were made in 1969. 6 were at the Chicago muscle car nationals a few years back. No 7 was invited but didn't make it. #8 has never been located. Dad had a 1957 Star Chief 347 tri power. He would out run 57 Chevys easily0
