Stopping spam

I started having an increase (daily) in the amount of spam in my emails. Most of it from the same source. So, I decided to download and use a software program I used a few years ago. I works really well and it's "free". It's pretty user friendly.

If you are receiving spam, give it a try---->Mailwasher

    this doesn't do anything that a standard modern email program doesn't do already. you have to go thru the list and check each mail entry. yahoo and gmail does this already. needless program IMO

    Yahoo and gmail are websites on the internet and not email clients installed on a computer (re: Thunderbird). I don't want to open my email client (Thunderbird) and receive spam. Most filters on email clients are not that good at blocking spam.

    Seems to not be very good 1st thing it did was tell me there was no e-mail account on this computer. When I already had it open.

    Even after I add my e-mail to it it fails to log into that one.

    No Matter what I do I cannot get it to recognize my e-mail.[V]

    Well finally got it but that was way too hard bet about 90% would delete it as a waste of time.

    Why when I have mail open it could not find it.

    You're supposed to open Mailwasher first before you open your email client. If you open your email client first then the email has already bypassed Mailwasher so then it's useless.
