I make according to my wife a bomb now and then in the bathroom. She walks into the bathroom and says that I?m trying to kill her with my bombs. [:D][:p]lol 0 -

At the age of 6 ? I made my first weapon.

I used to know a little guy that had one of those nerd type pocket protectors in his shirt pocket with one little screw driver in it. He said he could get the biggest man in the world off of him with it without carrying a weapon. 0 -

I started out shooting spit wads through a straw. Slowly graduated to making my own sling shots out of Y willow branches. Then moved to using the same willow to make bows and arrows out of cat tails.

About 60 years ago took a short piece of copper pipe and smashed the end of it shut. drilled a hole just above the closed end and filled it with match heads and pushed a marble in the end. lit it off thru the drilled hole. worked well for a while until it got too hot to hold. 0 -
Made many .22 rifles out of a section of the old style telescoping radio antennas that use to come on vehicles, a plank and a few fence-wire staples to strap the barrel down and a XQBWZE was used for the hammer....pretty accurate too [;)]. As Hank Jr. said "a country boy can survive" [:D] 0 -
Used to make spearguns and reels. A speargun with 3 band (5/8" diameter), 3/8" by 48" shaft with a stempoint tip landed several fish bigger than me. 0 -
Made an erector set cannon using alum tubing/gunpowder/marbles. Would easily put holes in a wood fence. They were higher than anticipated didn't think they had penetrated the fence. Then I saw them.
Resulted in many broken asbestos shingles on the house behind the fence.
CO2 Cartridge "firecrackers" and some other stuff.0 -
