Defamation, Slander, Libel?

Why doesn't Mr. Kavanaugh sue for these allegations?

Does he have to PROVE it didn't happen to clear his name or does the individual smearing him have to prove it?

If their is no recourse anyone can accuse anyone else of anything!

Any legal opinions?

    I'd say that has been brought forth and proven to be the case.

    When I was a teacher a student lied about something I said and I ended up as the subject of a NCAAP investigation.

    Cleared, but had no legal recourse (even though she did it maliciously to help her parents attack the principal because of something her sister did ).

    Public figures are fair game.[xx(]

    Unfortunately, the days of simply punching someone in the face for making untrue or defaming comments are long gone. IMHO this is so wrong and a tribute to the "puss!fication" of the American male.
