going to make some spicy pickled sausages

This weekend. If you don't know what a spicy pickled sausages are, think Tijuana Mama's, or hot Mamma's

While I'm at it, I think I'll make some pickled eggs and spicy pickled eggs

I say I'm going to wait until this weekend. That's because when I make them, I do it outside on my 2-Burner portable stove so the house doesn't smell like vinegar...

All three are so easy to make, and oh so good...

    You can find a recipe for Penrose Sausages on line. I tried one, not Penrose but real close.

    I remember buying and eating pickled red hots that were sold at my local party store back in the 60's and 70's.

    They were individually packaged in juice and cost about a buck a piece.

    Either my taste buds have changed or the ones they sell today seem more like pickled hot saw dust in a lamb skin wrapper![xx(]

    I make my own pickled ring bologna quite often. It goes good on hunting trips or just as an evening snack with saltine crackers and some good cheese![:p]

    I'm sure that I would enjoy some of your homemade spicy pickled sausage Remmy!
