Should put something in the freezer this year
First off, my trusty Reflex bow with over 25 dead deer to its credit has been officialy retired. My Brother From Another Mother sold me a 70# Mathews with new limbs and strings for $200, I spent another $300 for a rest, quiver and sizing/fitting/tuning so hopefully I can stab an elk this year.
I?ll be bow hunting in a either sex area for elk meaning I can use my general tag for a cow, strike out there I have a cow tag to use with the gun.
Deer, .25-06 is doing the work
Antelope, so far I have killed antelope with a muzzleloader, shotgun and rifle, time to stab one with the bow.
Not going to fill all the tags, one elk will do us just fine but I still want to kill an antelope with the bow because I?ve already proven they are easy to sneak up on [:D]

I have a 1970's special order Ben Pearson stallion that's about that draw weight - secondary wood is high grade African bubinga
I have never hunted with it - bought it on a whim during my gunshop days

Nothing but deer for kills but I have several trophies for video and 3D shoots, that old Reflex earned it?s place hanging on the wall.0 -
The girls both have small black tactical style bows with wheels and pulleys and such
When the hunger games novels and movies became pop culture hits every girl wanted to be Katniss Everdeen and learn archery skills
I have provided some instruction and basic training but am not a certified instructor or archery expert
I did the NRA archery program as kid - was my first merit badge in the scouts - earned a presidential sports award for junior archery program matches
And I the heavy pull bow referenced above
But it's simply been a casual hobby for me
The girls enjoy target archery in the back yard
