Just came back from a room full of Japs.

And I was still the tallest Jap there [:D]. Had some that were wider than me but I think they had some Polynesian in there. So where was the room you ask? It was at the Buddhist Temple in Salinas for Obon. I know it's early for it but it's when they have it.

Saw some shrunken 90 somethings ladies that came up to the top of my belly.

In honor of the dead I'll go and have "The Karate Kid" marathon. This is for you Pat.

    Obon On Okinawa was held at the local School. Every street vendor was there. Had BBQ Squid for the 1st time there.

    Then the next day they had the Dragon Boat races.

    Yeah, you can't trust a Jap. With no warning at all, one of them will be impossibly polite and offer you some fantastic food.

    Friend of mines Girl Friend set me up with a date for this. Then she suggests to this girl that she should go get me a Snack. Well she did not know me or even Like Me. So she got the one food there she knew I would hate. That did not work out so well since I loved it. We actually dated for a while after that and got along. Since I was not like a lot of the Marines there that went to town for one reason Only.
