    I remember very well working at the gunship when these were introduced and became available through the distribution network

    We had one delivered to the shop and put it in the display case very early - almost as soon as you could get one

    And it sat - it went "flat" - seemed to gather disband always garnered a "meh" reaction - not outright hatred and no glocksucker style fan boys who loved it

    Through the distribution network rebates and discounts became available to dealers - multiple gun package deals that dropped the price - all sorts of incentives

    We ended up taking a second gun into the shop because it seemed like such a great deal and the trade paper and magazine reviews seemed positive if not glowing (no harsh or negative reviews)

    They just seemed to be completely unwanted - nobody seemed interested in buying one no matter how good the deal was - and after customer handled and got a closer look initial curiosity seemed to reinforce the "meh" response

    Years later when the shop closed after the owner died I sold both pieces to a good customer and friend of the shop and member of my local gun club

    I got the opportunity through him to shoot the gun - I put about 250 rounds through one and we both attended a local target match and used them in the course of fire for record

    They worked fine - no flaws - no issues - ran perfect

    But it seemed to us to be a forgettable gun - that when you were preparing for some range time and packing up some gear and guns something else always seemed to get picked and they got left on the sidelines like the fat kid with the lazy eye who was the last person picked for kickball

    The lower price auction you posted up for us - at that price I would buy one if near new or in great shape - seems like a great deal to me

    But this model generates no excitement or desire in many - I don't think it's an ugly duckling or red headed stepsister or a lemon

    They just seemed to sit - and seemed a sales failure
