8' long bed trucks are difficult to find unless going to a 1 ton and even some of them are short beds. Flew to New Mexico and drove it home. 1 owner 2014 F250 SuperDuty 4x4 6.2 Gas Has a whopping 22800 miles on it. Still has 6 month drive train warranty.

    Got 16.1 on the drive home. I drove 80 and the rest way home 75+. Tires were also low at 60#. Stopped in Alabama and aired them up. Running 70 in the rain with traction control on it was telling me 17.2

    That is not too bad.

    My 5.4 triton gets right 18 if I keep it under 80mph.

    If I run Hi-test gas it will touch 20 but if I go over 80 it goes down to 16-17.

    Nice looking truck.

    I was looking at a Raptor with a 6.2, I liked the truck but the guy would not come down to where I felt I needed to be.

    I love those Super Dutys. I have a 2007 F250 standard cab with 8' bed. FX4 with the 5.4L. I get about 15MPG combined city and highway. 10MPG hauling a car trailer.

    I'm running an '04 F250 Super Duty, 6.0 Diesel ("Bulletproofed"), extended cab, 6' bed. Mileage, hauling a trailer, is down around 13-14, on the highway, cruise control set, it hovers in the 18-20 range at about 70 mph. I really like the truck, unfortunately the damn pre-treatment SHA and PenDot dump on the roads has started to destroy the underside of the bed, tailgate lip and cab corners. I picked up an unused (mostly) tailgate but the search for a new bed, etc. will begin shortly. I've already replaced all the brake lines, complete rear brake assembly (2x), trans lines/filter housing, etc. That pre-treatment garbage is death to vehicles.

    I have a friend that has that same truck and engine in a standard cab. His fuel average is about 10MPG. You did good. [:)]

    I removed that gawd awful 8" front chin spoiler that pushes dead air down the road. Had two metal scoops behind it that didn't help either. Already see a difference in fuel mileage.

    The truck I have came with them and I find them handy. Handy for myself but really useful for small children and old ladies. My mother is 81 and it really helps her. Even a lady in a dress can get in and maintain decorum. Important when it was all I had and was going out.
