Stung on her lip......sooooo funny
My poor daughter just called.....she was crying and I instantly worried that something had happened, but then she tells me she had been stung by something on her lip. She didn't know if it was a yellow jacket or wasp.....but it was in her coffee mug on the back porch.
She sounds like it must be HUGE. I've begged for pictures, but she isn't sharing. I might have to run over there and snap a few myself. [:D][:D][:D]

I took two stings to the lower lip, by Yellow Jackets, about a werk ago.

She just called.....she sounds better, so it must not have gotten her all that good. She asked if I wanted to take her and the baby to the store, so I'm headed that way and I'll get pics if she does have a huge lip.

I swallowed a yellow jacket once that was in my beer while doing yard work. The thing was still alive, and stung me in the throat on the way down.
Fortunately no allergic reaction, but it hurt like heck for a few minutes.[:D]0 -
This morning the wife was showing me a youtube or something like that, a bunch of pictures of dogs that ate bees or were stung in the mouth. it was funny as, they looked like cartoon dogs. It has happened to mine, so I appreciate it. 0 -

By the time I got to her it wasn't swollen very much. She said it was when it first happened, but she put mustard and an ice pack on it.
I got stung by a whole slew of yellow jackets one time on one elbow....my arm didn't bend right for about three days it swelled up so bad. I think it was something like seven stings.
I can't imagine what purpose yellow jackets serve other than to be pure evil.

Them bastages come about every 4 hours now to the top of my head. Meanwhile it feels like someone has an torch waving it back and forth on top of my head. 0 -
Reminds me of the time when playing hide and seek on top of the house, among the leaves of a huge sycamore tree and some red wasps hit me in the face. I don't recall how much it hurt, but I scampered out of the foliage and off of the roof like a wonnded squirrel. (See above picture of the Red Paper Wasp.) 0 -
The hedgehog caught a torpid and sluggish ground bee in the yard once and he ate the front 3/4's but did not touch the rump and the stinger...
I got stung by a wasp on my eyelid once upon a time - it would not let go and stung me repeatedly - I ended up smashing it against my own face to kill it - eye stayed shut for 2 days.

I got stung on the tongue by a bee several years back. We were at a softball game and he climbed down my straw. I sucked him up into my mouth and that's when he attacked. The stinger and sack were still in my tongue. I had to walk down to my truck and pull it out myself. My wife was laughing so hard I thought she was going to wet herself. You see, she had warned me about getting real coke instead of that fake diet stuff while we were at the fast food joint before heading out to the game. She said that bees would be attracted to the sugar. I swear I think she caught one and put it in there just to mess with me. 0 -

See my above post. Moved a leaf on to[p of the house and a red wasp nest 2 or three inches from my eyes. When I hit the ground and stood up both eyes were already shut.0 -
Its usually around this time of year that we get the paper wasps INSIDE my house. I think they build their nests up in the attic....but I'm not sure. We had the eves repaired and it seems that this might have curtailed a bit of that because I haven't seen any of them lately.
Usually when it starts to get cold I will have one random wasp here and there. My dogs are always so curious and they have been stung a few times.0 -

She sent me a picture of her cup today with a yellow jacket floating in it. She said "NOT TODAY"

Once had a big black and white one get behind the right lens of my glasses. That demonic basstage hit me once in the eye lid and twice on the cheek bone just below. Someone said they thought it was a bald faced hornet. Far as I was concerned it might as well been a B52 droppin' napalm. Face swelled up so bad I couldn't put my glasses on for a couple days.0 -

Jumped off hay wagon while helping my great uncle Jake and landed on mound about 1.5" tall for ground wasp in Mineral Virginia. They are almost three times as large as paper wasps and are a solid oxford brown and seem to like red clay soil. Three of them got me in right ankle. I have been stung by a zillion bees of all kinds but never anything as painful as those three inflicted. Should have gone to doctor as we had to cut work boot laces off from swelling. Grandpa chewed tobacco and packed around swelling to reduce it. 0 -
I actually had nightmares about the incident - bad ones...
Last time that happened was when I watched Aliens upon its release to cable TV (the big console switch box - on prism)
It was not a pleasant experience.
