Time and your hobby
I have been off work since the afternoon of the 21st. I don't go back to work until Next Wednesday. It has been very relaxing, to say the least.
My passions are guns and flying. Since the weather has been poor for flying it gives me an excuse to go to my gun room and fiddle around. I went down stairs at about 8:30 AM Yesterday, I spent the entire day loading 45's sorting brass cleaning my S&W Shield and work on some other "gun" stuff.
Time flew by, I shot the S&W Shield with the new 230JHP loads but other than that I was down there until darkness fell. Of course a few trips upstairs to the bathroom happened and I checked email and spent a few here on the forum. Other than those interruptions I was down there the whole dang day until dinner.
Time literally vaporized, poof the day was gone. I never notice the passage of time when involved in shooting or flying (except for fuel levels).
Do you experience the same "where did the day go" loss of time passing feeling when you do your thing, something you are passionate about?

I've been off work since Feb of 2003 and the days just ooze by like a molasses river. Probably getting up before 6pm and going to sleep at 10:00 or 11:00 has an effect.
Maybe take more time off.?0 -

Guns and flying are my passions as well. I would rather spend time doing either of them than most anything else. I would rather spend half a day at the range sending bullets downrange or flying to Catalina Island airport for lunch. 0 -
Earlier today, I glanced at the box of AR parts I've been collecting, and decided I'd assemble it as far as I could, before I lost any small parts. Upper is complete now, along with the lower and stock. Even scrounged up a 20-round magazine.
Didn't do too bad on the lower assembly, as the magazine drops out freely, locks in place like it should, and that ALG trigger sure is smooth.[:)]0 -
