Thursday was in for some tests, CT scan and etc.
On the 9th. I see the surgen and find out the battle plan and when he is going to operate and what comes next.
I hate the waiting. I want to get this over with and know what comes next. Never been good at waiting games.
Been going through differant moods and all the what if's. I think I've got a handle on it, as best as I can.
Wednesday, a good friend came over for a visit. I meet Father Bob a few years back as a gunsmithing customer. Now, when you think of a Catholic priest you would have a hard time seeing it in Father Bob. Drives a Chevy 1/2 ton, short bed, 4X4, wears cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. Grew up in Iowa on the family farm. Loves to hunt. Told me he was giving up deer season this year because of not getting the time off, but he WILL NOT miss spring turkey season. Told him about me and we had a great talk. He helped me to get more focused.
The 17th. is opening of the gun deer season. Guess I'll be sitting this one out.
Our north kitchen window looks out over the 36 acres of soy bean stubble and the woods. Window to tree line 380 to 420 yards. A swale cuts through it at around 200 to 250 yards. The deer like to use it when going across the field.
Told Lesia she is going to put the lazy boy by the window, a couple of sandbags and my .308. I'll wear orange pj's so I am legal. I'll shoot a deer. I'll just have her go out there, tag the deer, gut it and drag it back to the barn, hang it up, skin it and cut it up. I told her I would help, I should be able to plug in the electric meat grinder and the vacum sealer for her. My plan was not recieved very well by her. Gee...some women.
I'll keep letting you guys know what is going on.
Have told Lesia that the day I get cut, as soon as I am in recovery, she is to let you guys know I made it that far. "What should I post?" she asked. Just tell them I am still kicking and I plan on continuing to be a pain in their butts.
